An Agrobiodiveristy Walk was organized in Samingre (West Garo Hills), where the Community Facilitator explained and shared the importance of consumption of wild edibles. 👨‍🌾👩‍🌾🥦🥕🌽

    Today we mourn the loss of one of our pillars, Dr. Today we mourn the loss of one of our pillars, Dr. A K Nongkynrih, who we have had the privilege to work closely with for many many years.

Rest in everlasting Peace dearest Dr. Kyrham! You were our pillar, a wonderful mentor, and your passing is not only a loss to our organisations but all our indigenous communities as well.

We at NESFAS will forever be grateful that we have had the opportunity to work closely with such a legendary man and promise to uplift his words of wisdom at all times. 🙏

    A seed diversity fair was organised at Nongtraw co A seed diversity fair was organised at Nongtraw community, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya on February 19, 2021. The fair was inaugurated by our chief guest, Mr. Gavin M Mylliemngap, MLA Sohra Constituency. 

The seed fair is an opportunity for participating community members to enable trade, exchange and sharing of knowledge between them coupled with a workshop on seed, soil and pest management facilitated by the NESFAS team. 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾
